Visiting Mallorca

The Balearic Islands are a wonderful destination for those who love the sun, the water, the beautiful beaches covered with delicate sands and the fun. Every single one of the Balearic Islands represents a great place for those who are in love with the Spanish festivals, which are a great way of having fun and also a way to get into direct contact with the history and the traditions of this amazing country renowned for its cultural heritage. Mallorca is famous for the spectacular Fire Fiesta, which takes place every January the 6th. People gather around the centre of the resort, make fires and dance a wide range of beautiful traditional dances. San Sebastian is another fiesta known for playing with the power of fire; inhabitants in Palma light a lot of small fires, so the atmosphere created when the evening comes is amazing. If you are in search for a more coloured festival, February is the month when Mallorca should be visited because it hosts the famous Palma Carnival, a carnival where everybody wears a coloured mask. You will have a lot of fun.

Visit Menorca for its festivals

Mallorca is not the only Balearic Island that hosts festivals throughout the year; Menorca also does that and these festivals represent an important attraction for tourists who want to have a lot of fun besides the fact that they want to sunbathe on one of the wonderful beaches. San Juan is the most famous fiesta held in Menorca, a fiesta which has a 600 years old history. June is the month that hosts the San Juan festival, which is a great opportunity to watch interesting horse shows and spectacular medieval dresses. July is another important month for those who want to have a lot of fun as it hosts a series of fiestas and carnivals where people dance, sing and enjoy the beauties of life.

Ibiza and its festivals

Ibiza is the island that loves clubs but the festivals are also present; for example, if you visit Ibiza in May, you have the opportunity to take part in Santa Eulalia, a festival where a nice procession of horse coaches will please your eyes. Formentera does not have too many festivals; out of them, the most important one is the festival celebrating the patron of the island. Just visit the islands and convince yourself of how much fun you can have!
